Who can live without duct tape? What man (or women are you catching on?) in his/her right mind has a toolbox without duct tape? What is the perfect stocking stuffer for any male in your life? You've got it! Duct tape. It's every male's and every household's "gotta have". Even kids have caught onto this miraculous product.
What's it supposed to be used for? Does anyone remember? Oh, yes, for wrapping duct work. And in case there is that rare person who doesn't know what it is or what it looks like (has to be a female!) it's a four inch wide gray tape sturdy as all get out and now actually comes in colors! You can find it almost anywhere but certainly in your favorite home improvement store, Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar General, grocery store and like I said almost anywhere. Don't you wish you invented it?
Its uses are only limited by your imagination. Here are some that I have witnessed:
On packages of all types those being mailed as well as those with bows on them. (I'm happy just to get a gift from the men in my life I don't care how it's wrapped!)
To fix a tear in any fabric, from car seats and furniture to jeans (you're teens will think it's cool maybe!)
Speaking of cars, it can be used to hold anything together; fenders, knobs, a visor that won't stay in place; fold it in thirds and use in to hold your coffee cup in it's holder; fix a crack in your steering column; or a crack in your dash; it'll hold your hood in place if the clips are broken and it wants to come up; tape the hub cap on that comes off every time you go around a corner; put a piece on your garage floor where you (or your wife or kids) need to stop before they drive into the garage wall; the uses are endless
Tape a broken CD case; a crack in your boom box; hold an antennae in place and at the correct angle to get the best signal; tape those millions of cords together and out of the way
Does your furniture need fixing? Tape a broken table leg in place; a rip in your faux leather couch. (You certainly wouldn't want to use it on your nice furniture! You're wife might cry.) Fold it in thirds, sticky side out and tape those annoying seat cushions to the kitchen chairs so they don't fall off every time you get up; fix a broken lamp, lamp shade or cord (of course only until you can replace it!).
And for kids! It repairs every toy in sight! No need to buy a new super hero or doll, just tape the arm back on, kids are very adaptable and your boys will be convinced this magic silver tape gives their super hero new powers! Use it to repair rips in strollers, back packs, tennis shoes; don't have time to hem those jeans? Tape them in place!
Duct tape can be used for all sorts of craft projects for both practical purposes and artistic. Buy the black tape and use it for pin stripping on a model car (yes, guys you can use it on your real car if you really want to); great for holding cut or artificial flowers in place in their vase; or to hold something in place while glue dries; place it on a surface where you need a measurement guide.
The uses are endless! Make your list today! And most definitely, if you don't have any get some (and a few extra for stocking stuffers)!
