Great ways to say "I love you"

In a marriage, one of the most important things is to show your partner how much you care. By frequently demonstrating your love, your spouse will feel important, cherished, and supported resulting in a flourishing marriage. Make sure to show your love through actions as well as your words. Expressing your feelings to your partner should not be reserved purely for special occasions, but for ordinary days as well.

1. Gift your spouse a gift. It does not need to be extravagant, just enough to show your partner that you are thinking of them. A few flowers or a favorite treat are a great ways to put a smile on his or her face.

2. Doing something nice for your partner is another great way to say, "I love you". Cooking dinner or doing some of the everyday chores and tasks can be a great help. This will help relieve some of the stress and give your spouse some "me" time.

3. Quality time and attention are your greatest gifts. Cuddle watching a favorite movie. Bubble baths or massages are great gifts that give the two of you the chance to connect emotionally after a long day. Take time out to talk to your spouse. This will give both of you a chance to vent and take an interest in your daily lives.

4. Love can also be shown physically through touching, kissing, and by telling your spouse how you feel. If you see your wife is daydreaming, why not surprise her with a soft caress and a kiss to bring her back to reality. If you catch your husband without the kids around, squeeze your husbands butt and give him a wink. Be spontaneous; they love it!

5. Take the kids out by yourself for a while. It is great to get a little quiet time every so often. It also gives you a chance to bond with your children.

In today's busy lives, it is easy to forget your partner. Work, the house, the yard, bills, and kids can easily fill a twenty-four hour day. It is important to set aside a few minutes each day to show your love and affection to your partner. It is vital for the future of your relationship to not only maintain it, but also build on it. Be considerate and creative. Sneak a quick love note in your partner's lunch or bring a surprise picnic. Whether it is a dream vacation or a quick smile, actions speak louder than words. It feels good to know that the two of you will still in love after retirement comes and the children have lives of their own.
