Poetry: The path to full development

Sand, gravel
underfoot, beneath my souls.
tread forever, to eternity
then back thru space time
counting the moments
like drops of dew
in the spring morn.

Lost inside the labyrinth
of answers, profound wisdom
insight of elders delivered
through ancient tongues
and gesture of the arms
hands, raised eyes, and low
whispered secrets of divine.

Steep is the mountain
till snow is deep and
crevices appear out of nowhere.
Hearing illusions of shadows
dancing on the walls of caves.

Torches, sooted ceilings,
engraved with skyscraper charade's.
Images dancing with in the structure
of the whole, separate yet looking
to gather more light forms.

Out in the spring fall light
the space is amazing, stars go
on forever, and forever, as far
as sight allows, stars eternal
outside, swirling in atoms of
uncertainty, here then there.

Breathing, my foot aches
a sharp stone has penetrated the dream'
and its pain travels up my leg, to my
knee to remind me, of where I am
I walk, knowing the limp will
dissipate, and heal, till
I look upward, forward, only to
be brought to the path,

To tread, forever...
The walk to being a being.
