Poetry: To my daughter

There is a sweet little girl, with copper colored curls,
That when she smiles, makes her mommy's heart swirl.

She sees the world as a magical place,
You can't help but tell, by the sparkle on her face.

One really rainy day, not to long ago,
She saw with such delight, a bright rainbow.

She asked her Daddy to take her there, just for one touch,
He smiled and said, If only I could! You may be asking a bit much.

Of course, she didn't see why she couldn't, it wasn't that far,
They could jump up high and hop on a star.

Once they reached the highest peak,
They could slide down, hand in hand, Oh, what a treat!

To that little girl with coppered colored curls, and a sparkle on her face,
Nothing is impossible, no dream is to great!

To her Mommy and Daddy, everyday is special, she doesn't even know,
That she takes us for a ride each and everyday on a bright rainbow...
