Everyone has a different experience with a stroke. I now know what mine are. I've been to doctors with these symptoms and I was told that these aren't the normal symptoms. Here is my story of my latest one:
I was freezing corn on the cob. Suddenly my vision got real blurry and I was seeing spots. (Doctors told me this was anxiety or low sugar levels). Well I have found out that taking sugar like a life savor or candy bar does not help this problem. I continued to finish the corn but my left arm was loosing it's strength. My head was just spinning. I looked in the mirror and my face was getting real white, like no blood flowing into it. I finished the corn and sat down. My head wasn't hurting but it felt like someone had a grip on it. My boyfriend came in doors and started talking to me. I couldn't get the words out or even remember his name nor even my own dog's name. He asked me if I was okay but I told him what I was feeling but I think I would be okay later. I went to lay down but had to get up. I couldn't catch my breath. I felt as though someone was trying to suck the air out of me. I went and slept on the recliner for the night. The next day, he asked me what was wrong. I didn't remember all of the things we were trying to talk about. I just felt completely drained for the next day. I did some research on strokes and found that this is what I have been having. A few years ago I had the same thing happen to me and then I was having trouble seeing things so I bought a pair of magnifier glasses so I could see things. I went to eye doctor and found that I lost most of my sight in my left eye only. My right eye is still normal. He told me that I had a stroke sometime and it effected my eye. I didn't remember anything really different until I just recently had another one. I believed the doctors telling me it was an anxiety attack but I was freezing corn. There was not stress there. I haven't been working for about 6 months and still had this happen. I don't have any stress in my life right now so this wasn't caused by stress. This was a stroke.
