it sits there
waiting patiently
in the middle of the room
i wait here
pondering fervantly
with scissors, paint, and glue
a racing car
a castle
or perhaps a giant shoe
my mind is
grappling to decide
what it is that i will choose
a locomotive
a lemonade stand
a miniature city for me and you
it rests in the center
of this room, it waits
and i do too
i am next to it
with spotted frock
and dreams i will pursue
what to make of
this cardboard box
i am not sure, are you?
