Songs: The devil

by Ethan Womack

Created on: August 21, 2007

The night was dark and dreary still
the moon refused to show
I laughed and thought of vacant stares
of places you would go

To hide away your deepest sins
and drown your darkest lies
To ensnare you in me
we're both meant for the flies

Fore do you know of canyons deep
or even more the oceans floor
my eyes have seen beyond all gates
and through the soul-less door

I keep an ear out for your plea
a feint sound in the night
you leave me 'till you need me once
and then I'll end your plight

Now come to me and join my ranks
I heed you to attend
to seal your fate eternally
and never make amends
