present but the change is then about not replacing things like fear but of the understanding of and growth through that understanding of the many facets and attributes of love. Fear of the future is really a fear of change, and a fear of change is about a fear of loss of the present situation. Fear of what you have now is a fear of the loss of what you have and a fear of what might or might not happen. Real fear is never about love, for love is about growth and learning and changing yourself to love more by learning more. The only way to love is to love the future and to grow into the future. Time was created then to allow the stagnancy of now to move away by a growth into an illusionary time to allow itself then to realise that the time is really growth and was possible now but that it wasn't happening because love requires an outlet of growth and growth is only ever noticed within an illusion of time. Real growth is not an illusion but it takes an illusion to grow. Is this a paradox? You have to be fooled to grow, is this correct? No, not really as real love is not illusionary, but fear allows the now to be frozen so that you want to remain there without change so that then you don't grow past the now into the future now. To remain fixated with only now is to miss the continuing stream of ever present nows taking place. Time was created so that the change caused by time will allow you to be "jump started" out from a fixed now and back onto the moving train of real nows. So illusion is required to get past fixation. And then you will see again the real truth that has never really been altered by the illusion. The mountains are again mountains, before they were mountains also until you became fixated and didn't see the mountains as fixation causes loss of experiencing the real. This comes from a famous Zen saying by Ch'ing-yan Wei-hsin (Seigen Ishin) which goes something like this if I recall it correctly:
Before I had first studied Zen, I saw mountains as mountains, and rivers as rivers. When I had gained some insight into truth, I came to the point of seeing that perhaps mountains are not just mountains, and rivers are perhaps not only rivers. But now that I have got to the very substance of Zen, and have attained some greater understanding, it's now that I see as before that mountains once again really are just mountains, and rivers once again are truly only just rivers. I am now at rest, even as truth is always at rest. I see now with an awareness of the truth behind the mountains and rivers that allows me to see that they must now and can only ever be as they are, mountains and rivers. Perhaps it is the same with me....
Allow love, follow love and remove the fear by acceptance that growth and learning is part of love and necessary to allow you to move forward past fears and to allow the correct future to appear to you as love, not fear and so that the future is not fearful but is happening as part of the moving train of nows and not on a future train. Its all part and parcel of the same train. See that and allow the truth to really set you free from fear of being on the wrong train. Simply because we are all on the same train, and there really is only this one train. Everything else is illusion caused by fear of the future and stagnation in the now.
So never fear, if you can about your future or about change. Remember the little saying to yourself: "love always wins" and "If you want to be a winner in life, love". This only means that the greatest change agent in all life is love and only by embracing love can we overcome our fear of change and our fear of the future.
