Beer tasting etiquette, it's more than popping the cap off of the bottle and chugging in down, it is an experience and an art.
Here are 10 basic steps for beer-tasting etiquette:
1. Select your favorite type of beer or a special kind that is recommended by a friend.
2. Gently open the bottle.
3. Tilt you glass and listen carefully to the gentle sound of the brew as it slowly fills up the glass. It's like the sound of a bubbling wave caressing the beach.
4. Take pleasure in watching the beautiful white foam rise majestically to the top of the glass.
5. Close your eyes and inhale the full bouquet of the beer flavor.
6. Slowly take a sip.
7. Allow the grain, the hop, the water and the yeast all embrace your taste buds.
8. Feel your first impression gradually develop as the beer covers your tongue from the tip to the root.
9. Define the unique taste of your beer with the aftertaste remaining on the tongue.
10. You will be surprised to find a variety of different taste nuances - all in only one beer!
