I hear you shout, "hey I wanna buy a dinning table" so whats the problem?
Buying a dinning table is really a simply process that is largely down to personal taste, financial budget and whats available at the time of purchase.
It is however important to be practical also. Here are somethings you might want to consider before rushing out to make that aw-inspiring purchase.

1) Consider how much room you have for your table. After all you don't want it to take up the whole room and have no room for chairs!
Its important really to measure your room and get some measurement of the dinning tables you like in the shops, then go home and make a plan. Lay the plan on the floor then take into account the space chairs will need. Obviously if you have an enormous room their won't be much of a problem.

2)Think about how you dinning table will be used. Is it for everyday use or just for special occasions. If the dinning table is for everyday use then it would be better to pick a table made of a material that is durable, hard waring. Unless the table is going to have a table cloth. After all the table will take more of a basing with kids using it regularly so durability is key here!
Remember also glass ones look nice, but scratch easily. Its virtually impossible to remove the scratches. Cleaning glass is pain too!

3)Is it an heirloom. Lets face it its no good buying MDF(WOOD PULP) if you want the table to keep its value or even increase in value. Plainly solid wood, the rarer the better will be the best bet here or perhaps something unusual like marble. This only applies I guess if buying new as old tables, if they are of distinction will retain value indefinitely.

So heres my advice, go look and see for yourself and remember to look around for that special bargain. Use all sources, the Internet, shops, magazines etc to locate that final deal. Good luck!
