Product packaging doesn't influence my behavior in any sense. Sure, a very fancy packaging might catch my eye in the aisles, but I won't be buying it unless it fulfills all of my criteria. I'm very skeptical of all the different features advertised on the cover of the product that I might buy. After all, the companies might be playing on words in their product advertisements.

Going through my criteria helps me determine whether or not the product is worthy buying, not how it is packaged. First in my list comes the question, "Do I want it or do I need it?" Most of my wants are electronic the most fancily packaged. Also, most of my wants aren't bought proof that even the fanciest of packaging doesn't affect me.

If it passes this first question, I ask, "Is it really worth it?" Even here, the product packaging doesn't affect my decision to buy it. The sole influencing factor here is its price. If I decide that it is worth it, I move on to compare similar products. While this is where the companies are hoping packaging might influence buying, I don't compare the packages of the product. I compare the product itself, and its product specifications. I use specifications because, as mentioned before, the advertised features might just be a play on words. In product specifications, it's just the facts and not any phrases that are meant to entice you into buying it.

With these criteria, I'm completely uninfluenced by the product's packaging. My decision to buy is solely based on whether I need it, whether it's worth it, and whether its specifications suit me. Nowhere in my buying process does product packaging come into play.
