There are certain things that a woman wants from her husband that he may not be aware of. Understanding what these things are and doing them sometimes will help to keep a wife happy and promote harmony in the relationship. When a husband does these little things then the thoughtful behavior is usually reciprocated. In this way it works to the advantage of both spouses.

One of the main things that a woman wants is to be appreciated for the every day tasks that she relentlessly performs. Many of these tasks are mundane, boring and tiring. A few words of thanks and praise can go a long way to boosting a wife's sense of worth.

Sometimes it can be wonderful if a husband also appreciates his wife by telling her that she looks great when she has made an effort to be glamorous for him when they are going out together and notices if she has been to the hairdressers.

Many wives like to off load after a long day at work by telling their husband about their day. What they want from their husbands is a listening ear and nothing more. After talking about their day they instantly feel more relaxed if they have been heard.

A simple task that some husbands could perform that would make a wife's day brighter would be to pick up after themselves. When a wife has to constantly pick up piles of dirty clothes from the bedroom floor, wet towels from the end of the bed and used coffee cups from the lounge she feels miserable and unromantic.

Most wives also want their husbands to be more tender in the bedroom. They want their man to take his time and help put them in the mood. They want all parts of their body to feel important, not just the obvious areas.

After love making they want their man to spend a few moments holding them in their arms, rather than instantly rolling over and starting to snore.

Wives want to have fun as well. They want to spend some quality time with their husbands doing things together that make them laugh. They want to be reminded that they are with their soul-mate, not just someone whom they share a home with.
