I love to cook, so whenever I find a good cookbook I have to buy it. I have so many cookbooks it would take me days to count them all. I have vegetarian cookbooks, cooking magazines, a vegan cookbook, one on healthy food, one on baking, I even have one with all breakfast recipes. Here are some tips on how to decide which cookbooks to buy:
-Make sure it has lots of good pictures. They show you what it should look like when you are finished. A picture can also help you decide if you really think it will be good or not.
-Count the number of recipes you will make. I am a vegetarian, so whenever I buy a cookbook I have to make sure there are enough vegetarian recipes. But counting the recipes is not only for vegetarians. There might be alot of recipes that you or someone in your family don't like, or recipes that take too long, or whatever reason you wouldn't make some of the recipes. If there are only a few recipes that you will make, the cookbook isn't worth buying. Get it from the library and write down the recipes you want.
-Go to used bookstores. I have gotten some great cookbooks at used bookstores, and they look practically new, but they are less than half the price than if I had bought them brand new.
These are just a few cookbook collecting tips. I hope they work for you!
