My children always loved to play games in the car. We played "Bingo", whoever saw a Volkswagon would say "Bingo", and then the color, "Bingo blue" and so on. The first to say "Bingo" would count that as one. Bingo's on "car dealer lots" are excluded, and if you accidently said "Bingo" when it was another make of car, you lost one of your Bingo's. Whoever found the most Bingo's at the end of our trip won.

We loved to sing in the car while traveling, when the kids got bored from singing we played "Name That Tune". We would take turns "humming" or "tapping" out a song, and whoever named the tune first won that round.

My children loved to play "Out of State Liscense Plates". We live in Kentucky, The first to see the "out of state liscese plate" get to count it as one. Highest total out of state plates at the end of the trip, won.

Kids love to play "Travel Bingo." I bought the game at Cracker Barrel. The card is like a bingo card except there are no numbers, there are objects instead. Traveling in the car, if you see an object thats on the card you slide the little clear cover over that object. Objects on the card are, yield sign, duck crossing, curve ahead, 4-way stop light, deer crossing, and so on. Travel Bingo can be played, one line accross, diagonally or the whole card filled. The first to succeed, wins.
