Paris Hilton's time served was not much different from checking into a hotel for her, other than she couldn't wear designer clothing.
She received preferential treatment, a private cell, special food, and was in all ways treated like a celebrity, when what she did is the sign of a serious alcoholic. She scoffed at the law, and the elected officials we are supposed to be able to trust let her go.
She broke probation. And broke the law to break her probation. The rest of us in society would have seen a year behind bars, while she got off with 23 days. The picture is once again that the wealthy are the privileged, and the rest of us can just whine about being turned into serfs.
Next time, why don't they just throw a party at the courthouse, welcoming her back.
And there will be a next time.
