Accommodation Tips & Advice

Cheap hotel recommendations in Anaheim, California

You're planning a trip to Anaheim, one of the most visited cities in California due to the abundance of theme park recreation and its proximity to some of the most beautiful beaches in the state, and you need to find accommodations that are not only affordable, but comfortable. The following are a few hotels that fit the bill:

"The Ramada Limited Main Gate North" is located only one mile north of the main gate to both Disneyland parks. I've personally stayed at this hotel and found it not only to be comfortable and inviting, but very conveniently located to all of the area attractions and eateries. There is a beautiful pool and spa area for relaxation after a long day at the area amusement parks, and the guest rooms are comfortable. $49 to $69 per night

"The Anabella Inn" is located just across from Disneyland's Main Gate and is one of the nicest hotels in the area for the price. The lobby is spectacular, the rooms are of high quality (including bedding and towels), and there is a very nice pool and spa area. This is one of my favorite picks for affordable accommodations in the area, as I have stayed here with my wife at least four times. A five minute walk and you're on the parking lot tram to the entrance of the park. $70 to $100 per night

The "Days Inn Anaheim West at Disneyland Drive" is also a very nicely renovated facility that offers a friendly staff, convenient location and a safe atmosphere. There is a small pool and spa, and all guest rooms have refrigerators, microwaves and coffeemakers, which are a nice plus. $59 to $70 per night

"Travelodge Anaheim at the Park" is located about a mile from Downtown Disney. This is another clean and safe hotel that has a nice pool and spa, complimentary Internet access and a nice continental breakfast. $60 to $75 a night

"Anaheim Vagabond Executive Inn" is located only two blocks from Disneyland's Main Gate and is a beautiful two story hotel that has a great "jazz inspired" decor. This is definitely an upper-scale hotel for the area, though it still retains a great price at $65 to $120 a night depending upon what room option that you choose.

As with all vacations, you should make your plans early in order to get the best deals. All of these hotels are available on Orbitz.com and Expedia.com, and often times you can get amazing prices through these websites if you book a couple months in advance. Pack your bags, make your reservations and have a great time!
