In preparing for a Hurricane, it must be understood that those who live in Florida and coastal areas of the Southern United States as well as the Caribbean are susceptible at one time or another to this phenomena. People must be responsable for making the necessary preparations of non perishable food, batteries for flashlights, TV and Radio Receptors, and plenty of water for drinking and bathing.
When a Hurricane Warning is issued, it is important to prepare by closing all windows with shutters and moving to an area far away from the hurricanes. If a person can avoid going to work on the day of the hurricane, great. But also have some supplies at work.
During a Hurricane and Afterwards, stay indoors as there exists the possibility of being hit by stray objects or even being carried to the wind. It is also important to follow evacuation orders. One Lady from the Florida Keys did not follow orders to evacuate and was swept away.
Be sure to have plenty of money and that the car is filled with gasoline since nobody knows how long there will be no gasoline and no ATM Machines. The rest is good luck.
