I have been to both. I went to a university first and then to a community college. Having experienced both worlds, I will say that it truly depends on the student more than anything simply because there are differences such as class side and time a professor may have to help that differ greatly between the two. But when it boils down to who is the more well rounded student and who has experienced more on their own real life, the university wins hands down. The simple steps you take to function on a university campus are important life skills that you can't attain from a community college. Of course, if you live at home while going to a university, your time actually spent on campus will give you experiences more like a community college unless you are a go getter. There are many more things to get involved in and it is way more social in every aspect. Community colleges just don't live up to universities when it comes to the extracurricular activity list. And though these are extra, they are vital to many aspects of professionalism.
