Where to find good resume templates

Honestly, I cannot tell you where to find the best resume template. This is because employers prefer originality. As they leaf through a stack of resumes, there is a good chance that the majority of them will look alike. They learn nothing of a prospective employee's abilities by reading a template-inspired resume, other than the fact that the person knows how to use a template.

Originality is also important in helping a resume to stand out. Template resumes look just how they sound- like they came from a template. This means that ninety-nine percent of the people sending resumes probably have an identical layout. You know your individual strengths and weaknesses better than the computer. Use that to your advantage. Do you have a strong educational background, but little experience? Add some information about your schooling. Some templates do not provide a place for GPA's or academic awards. Do you have a lot of skills, but little education? You may want to avoid entering information about your education, which will leave you with more room to elaborate on what you know. Remember that unless you have loads of experience, an employer does not want a resume that is over one page long. You need to use that single page in order to convince an employer of your strengths. A template is basic and may not provide the job seeker with options for his or her best skills.
Remember, a job seeker needs to prove him or herself to be better than all other prospective employees. Do not settle for the same templates that everyone else has used, and you are certain to catch the attention of a future boss!
