Teenagers versus adults: The struggle in understanding one another

When it comes to you and your teenagers communication the very first thing i have to say is remember that you to were once a teenager and you made mistakes that made you hopefully become a responsible adult.

The most important thing you can do for your teenager is listen listen to everything that they are telling you even if you don't agree you can at least hear them out. the thing i remember as a teenager is that my parents never really listened they assumed alot of things about me and fussed but they really never asked me questions and sat there and listen with no objections like you are forced to do when you are not the adult.

Also trust is an important issue in any relationship that also goes for your kids to if you have no reason to not trust your kids don't just not trust them because you think back to yourself as a teenager they are there own person.Give them there space with out giving up you parenting skills just give them freedom not to run wild but to go out in the world on there own and then if they mess up deal with it according to the situation.

Though you might not understand or like your kids style they are not you don't compare them to you keep communication lines open don't make your kids fear you instead let them feel like they can tell you things and you will listen weather you agree or not just hear them out and be honest with each other and it will make the teenage years easier for you and them.
