How to discover if you have an early onset of Alzheimer's disease

"Honey, I can't remember what I was doing!" You may find yourself screaming one day when you realize that you're starting to lose it. But what exactly are you losing? Maybe you're losing sleep, or even better, maybe you're losing your mind. Okay, so maybe you won't find yourself screaming that you can't remember what you are doing. But what if you did? Would it scare you, would it confuse you, would you even notice it?

Okay, here is another scenario: You are at party and your spouse asks you a question regarding something you can't remember, while thinking about the answer already your losing focus on what the question is. Eventually you find yourself asking "What was the question?" So, are you just tired, or are you having signs of dementia, better known as Alzheimer's. Nowadays, everything will cause disease or sickness; it's hard to even tell what's normal and what a sudden onset of something is.

The problem with Alzheimer's is that one of the risk factors is old age. So the cure is, is to not get old! Yea, right. So let's say you dodge the first bullet of old-age (if you dodge it, let me know how), now you're left with risk factor no. 2! Look at your family, who seems to be losing their mind more frequently than usual? Ok, once you have located them go up to them, hug them and thank them. That's right, thank them. They have just increased your risk to having dementia; linked to being hereditary from a first degree relative. Ok, so now some of you are starting to panic, then there are some of you who are waiting with baited breath for risk factor no. 3. Let's say you've dodged the first 2 bullets now, it's the 3rd and final factor (at least for this article). Now the third one is a little tricky but it CAN be prevented. To avoid a head injury, yes risk factor no. 3 is a head injury, wear a helmet everywhere you go and you will be set!

Now here's the problem with those risk factors, Alzheimer's is LINKED to those factors but there is absolutely no proven cause. Maybe you wore a helmet, avoided old-age and made sure your whole family was "safe", but you STILL got it. That would lead to risk factor no. 4, Life. I once knew this beautiful man. Set in his old ways from the forties and fifties but a good man. His onset of Alzheimer's happened in his late sixties, his wife another old-fashioned gal, was there when she realized something was wrong'. He would forget little things and eventually started to forget people he just met. That's where the symptoms came in,
