Eyes
I knew I loved you when I found you
Dancing your cares away, drunk
I knew you'd love me when you spoke
But not for how long.
Forever seems a long time to stare
To watch as you change and move and sway
Forever is day by day, as i glance
into the eyes that struck me dumb.
Even now.. years later, I find myself
weary, loving you to my own exhaustion
Forever it has been, it feels..
Black wisping shadows of hurt cloud us.
No more dancing for us.. no us for us.
Everything rests in the eyes.
And ours don't meet.
