Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. By the age of 6 months your baby will likely be able to start signing with you. How exciting, knowing what your child wants before they can talk, because now they can sign and communicate their needs to you.
Practice signing with your baby simply at first using three or four items that you use on a regular basis: bottle, blanket, up, mama and da da are a good start.
Remember to say the word and then sign. Use videos, flash cards and books. Have gentle music playing in the background. Remember patience is not only a virtue but a key. Always be encouraging. Remember your raising a genius.
