Los Angeles, like all major US Cities is well endowed with a plethora of up-market luxury 'spas'. Take out all those man-made imitations, though and the picture becomes very different indeed. While the state of California is blessed with many natural hot springs, the city of Los Angeles boasts but one, Beverley Hot Springs.

Strictly speaking, we are looking at genuine destination spas here, and it is a matter of conjecture whether Beverley Hot Springs really fits the bill. Whilst there are various treatments on offer including body scrub and acupressure, it is difficult to class it together with the genuine destination spas offering packages for general health and wellbeing of the body, mind and spirit.

This, however, is the nearest Los Angeles can offer, and the surroundings are beautiful. It is not cheap, with a package of spa entry, acupressure, body scrub and body care weighing in at a hefty $240. But there is a bright side. Annual membership is available at $3,600, with a discount if paid in a single installment.

Why is that a bright side? Because we know who has just moved to LA and will want to visit, don't we? Victoria Beckham, of course. Now I haven't noticed any legal restriction on cameras, and if you just happened to snap her or David at the spa?!
