Look at the reality of it. A boy that has more time spent with his girlfriend or girlfriends, has less time to spend studying . it gets worse as you add in more than just one girlfriend. Girls like it when a guy kind of stumbles through life on a lucky funny whim. Girls love the freedom of not caring about anything. If someone is to stupid to know what to care about, then from a naive impression he is free spirited. A boy that walks around saying " um you probably should not do that, the chances of you losing an eye because of that are greater than the chances of actually having fun". Is a complete turn off. The same goes the other way . No one wants another mother.

Deep down inside they are all looking for someone to have fun with and learn with, not be tutored.
Studying time takes away from partying time. You can not go to a concert and go dancing or even be a good dancer if you are an honor roll student. Being honor role is a full time job.
Honor role students are amused and consumed by the enjoyment of items that have them focus their attention on things that teach them as they progress. That type of enjoyment and focus is time consuming. Sure a kid on the honor role would love to go and do what the idiots are doing, but they have desires to get to the next point in proving their worth. That kind of activity is a turn off to most females.
This still goes on as people grow older, why else are there so many rumors about the milk man and the pizza guy and the bum next door who still lives with his parents?

Freedom is the dream. People want tyo sample someone else's freedom.
