Ron Paul is not "just on the Internet", he has a true base that is expanding all the time, and the results of straw polls around the country indicate that the Ron Paul movement is on the rise. This is all happening despite the fact that he has been labeled a "fringe candidate who doesn't stand a chance".

The reason? The words of Dr. Paul ring true with what a majority of American people want to hear. The difference between him and the other candidates is that he means what he says. He wants Big Government out of our lives and return more power to the states. He wants to end these wars, and has been against Iraq from the beginning. He wants the US to mind its own business, and stay out of the affairs of other countries, because we aren't the world police. He believes "No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution."[1]

He wants to lower taxes, and wants out of NAFTA and opposes the North American Union with Mexico and Canada. He wants to secure our borders, and restore your right to privacy. He wants to put an end to Eminent Domain, that allows the government to make you sell them your property, even if you don't want to.

Simply put, Dr. Paul wants to follow the law of the US constitution, a document most in Washington seem to have forgotten about. He supports the Access to Medical Treatment Act, H.R. 746, which expands the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new treatments and the Health Freedom Protection Act, HR 2117, to ensure Americans can receive truthful health information about supplements and natural remedies.

Ron Paul has the record, and personal integrity to get the job done, and make some changes in Washington, and return it to the way Washington would have wanted it...George Washington that is. Congressman Paul is the genuine article. The American people would identify with him, if they were actually given the opportunity to hear him.

Fox news recently showed the graphic of the Iowa straw poll results, they skipped the fourth and fifth place candidates completely [2]. During the Iowa poll, the Paul campaign proved that the person overseeing the voting for the straw poll was also on the winners leadership team [3]. He is repeatedly dismissed by news reporters. There is evidence that news organizations are doing close in shots of Ron Paul gatherings to show that there were only few there, when actually there were many more than appeared. There some reports of other irregularities as well. Is this more evidence that he has the deck stacked against him?

If Ron Paul can get out to enough people, he could win this primary. There are some, that have changed their party designation to Republican, so they can vote for him in the primary. If the exposure of the candidates is "fair and balanced", he would be considered a shoe in. Many fear that he is being treated unfairly, and this could effect his chances. Some of the cronies in D.C. are afraid he may win, and make them begin to play by the rules.
