Classic French Salad Dressing Recipe
(This is not the american red version!)
Ingredients:
2 T vinegar, any
6 T olive oil - good quality
2 t Dijon mustard
chopped chives (optional)
finely minced onion (optional)
garlic (2 cloves)halved
1 tsp each salt and pepper
Directions:
Put salt, pepper, mustard (and chives and onions) in bottom of bowl; add vinegar and mix; slowly drizzle in olive oil, stirring constantly.
Add the garlic cloves (cut in half) and let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
Remove the garlic and bring to room temperature before using.
