10 Things you can do to help the Earth
I wanted to share 10 tips and ways that you can reduce, reuse, and save the environment. Everyone can make a difference, no matter how small.

Tips
1. Only water your lawn once a week. Preferrably in the mornings. For you to have a healthy lawn it only needs about an inch of water a week.
2. Only use your appliances in the evenings. For you to conserve energy, Ontario Hydro is asking that you use your appliances in the evenings only.

3. Set your air conditioner a bit warmer than you normally would. Even changing the temperature by 2 degrees makes a huge difference.
4. When shaving or brushing your teeth, don't have the water running, only turn it on when you need to rinse your mouth or rinse your razor.
5. Recycle, recycle, recycle. I am shocked by the amount of people who still don't recycle. The Earth is a small planet and soon we'll run out of room to dump our garbage. Even if you live in a building, you should recycle.
6. Teach your children not to litter, and how to recycle, and to respect Mother Earth.
7. Volunteer at least once a year to help pick up garbage in your local neighbourhood.
8. Be more conservative, if you don't need to print it out, don't.
9. Buy a canvas bag, when you go shopping use your bag or boxes, don't take plastic. Plastic bags are so hard on the environment as they don't break down easily.
10. Throw cigarettes in an ashtray. Don't litter them.

Follow these 10 tips and you are on the way to saving the Earth and making it a better place for your children, and the next generation.
