How to deal with learning disabilities in basic math skills

It is a fact that math skill has a tremendous impact on our lives. Actually, math is involved in everything: if you want to major other subjects, first, you have to know some basic math skills. For example, when you learn chemistry, there is stoichiometry requiring a lot of calculations. It is the same thing in physics, biology or geometry (you have to calculate some distance, for instance). Hence, it might be detrimental if you are disciplined in basic math. However, this is good news: you are weak at math not because you are stupid or something like that; it is just because you don't know how to learn effectively which cause you to feel boring whenever you see math. In fact, math is a boring subject; if you are not interesting in it, there is no way you can understand anything and this can explain why you don't have any basic math skills. As a result, this article will present a way to deal with it in order to help you have a better result.

Going on from my own experience, if you follow these below 10 things, your disability in math will be amended:

1. Location: learning math requires a quiet place in order to understand thoroughly and think quickly. Some ideal places are such as the library or your own room. You can't find the solution to a problem when you are in the living room with the TV on and people talking. In other words, you need to concentrate on what you are doing.

2. Time: as far as I am concerned, the perfect time for learning math is in the morning, after you have a breakfast. That's the time you have already had a good sleep and meal. Thus, you don't feel sleepy or hungry. You can hardly absorb any math at night because after a tired day, it is quite hard. Maybe learning at night is suitable for something like English but it is not just for math. You need a clear and ready mind to figure out things.

3. Read carefully the lesson before doing any practice: you have to read first, as many times as possible. If you understand it, that's fine. If you don't, read it again. After that, if you still can't comprehend, write a question mark to ask someone like your teachers or parents.

4. Write down any formula or principle you can find in a notebook which is for math only to avoid a mess. Remember to include some examples in case you can't understand what you have written when you look back.

5. Do practice; it's impossible to fathom anything when you only learn the theory, you have to practice solving problems as well. Try to solve them by yourself as first:
