DAYDREAMS
On the cool green grass I laze
basking in the warm sunrays,
dreaming oft of yesterdays.
Barefoot in the hills I'd run,
soaking up the summer sun,
free and wild, when I was young.
The clean scent of the sand pines,
the place the deer-trail unwinds,
the thorny blackberry vines,
exploring crystal clear streams,
casting for catfish and bream
living out my childish dreams,
these are the thoughts that I keep
while lying nearly asleep,
on the banks of waters deep.

A five-minute break, to catch my breath,
(halfway up a mountain in the Arochar Alps, Scotland):
Ahead of me, I see a blue
Daydreams.
Often in a quiet time I let my mind drift,
To places that I've never gone;

Eyes open wide
Eyes wide open and in my mind
treasures of a heartfelt love I find
The softness of your hands I feel
steady
Whenever it got tough on the outside
An always ajar door on the inside
Would invite her further in
Here was Peter Pan, Cinderella,

Daydreams
Come in a million
To earn millions
But none of them
Open the gates
Of the rich
Mama wakes
Me up
From the veranda
Why don't
