If being an aesthetician is your dream, taking the time to choose the right school is critical. You want to find the right place that will meet your needs and give you the opportunity to find your perfect job when you graduate. Here are some no-fail tips to finding the school to launch your career.

1. Talk to the owners and directors of the spas you'd like to work at. See where they hire from. See who they recommend. They're the best people to advise you on what aesthetician school will give you the most valuable education and can create some contacts for future employment possibilities.

2. Check websites and call the schools for details. Quickly type in the names of the schools you're considering into search engines. You might get some rave reviews, or you might get some trash talking. The internet is a free resource full of information use it! Also, call the schools and ask for information packages. This will give you an easy way to compare their programs and pricing.

3. Stop by the schools to check them out. A lot of schools will offer open houses which can give you a feel for the facilities and the teaching staff. Another great way to find information is to book a treatment in the school spa. You'll get a feel for the type of students who attend and what level they're at. These men and women like to chat, so this is a great way to get first hand accounts of what the school is like outside of what the admissions department will tell you.

4. Consider your financing options. Many beauty schools will offer financing options either through the state or internally. Find out what your options are for paying for your courses.

5. Ask a lot of questions. This is a big commitment of time and money. You wouldn't buy a car on the basis of what one person said, so make sure to find out as much as you can. You'll get a feel for what people's opinions are about the school, as well as giving yourself the opportunity to find out which one feels right.
