About photo sharing on the Internet

The Internet is the computer! Four years ago, a person who said that the Internet is the computer would be crazy. But now, this might actually be the case. If you think about it, we are doing more things online. For example, there are online photo sharing services which let you share photos and also store your photos online. A good example of an online photo sharing service is Flickr.

Currently, there are over hundreds of online photo storage and sharing services. Some of them are: Flickr, Photobucket, My Photo Album, Google Picasa Web Album and Kodak Easy Share Gallery. According to the rise and popularity of these services, there must be some kind of attraction. Perhaps the ability to share instantly over the web instead on send photos through email? Perhaps freeing up your hard drive and storing your photos online? Or perhaps it is the ability to tag photos?
What I use for Photo Sharing and online Photo Storage: Google Picasa Web, Flickr and also Photobucket.

Oh no! I have only got 1GB of space in my hard drive! Don't worry. You don't have to go to your local retail store to buy another external hard drive or a new computer. Store you data online! There must be hundreds on these online storage services. It is impossible to count! Most services give you a free account that gives you a limited of storage space. What this online storage basically means is that you get to store your data online. In addition, you can do backups and also keep another copy of your files. But, online storage is not a good solution for people who have a slow internet connection and a limited of download data. Because remember, every time you download or access a file, you are actually downloading it from the web. Some examples of online storage and back up services are: Mozy, Box.net, Windows Live SkyDrive, Xdrive, Flipdrive, All my Data, Carbonite, OmniDrive and idrive. And the list goes on and on...till you fall asleep.

Another interesting online application is web based Word processors and spreadsheet makers. These services actually allow you to make documents online and then store in online web or save it onto your hard drive. Again, this service is not good for slow speed connection such as dial-up. Some example of these services are Google Apps Zoho.
