In the breaking light of dawn
I look around me at what's gone
Is this real or is it fake?
I want to dream
for my sake.
With each sigh I breathe out
I know for certain-without a doubt
You may be gone, I might be lost
My heart is yours-at all costs.
Four candles lit in the dark
But cupids arrow missed the mark
In return it hit a well
In which I drowned, my own hell.
In the night I reach to grasp
Faint echos of a lovers past.
I climb the wall,
The well is deep
I wish for what
Some call sleep.
I can't let go, I will fall
I reach my hand to pass it all.
Clinging to the edge for not
Reaching nothing, its all I've got.
My own strength I learn to use
Two twisted wires, mend the fuse.
Around my heart, I find in time
I just needed to rewind.
