"The Storm"
A night like no other,
The clouds hung close and dark,
Rumbling with her voice,
A knowing thunder,
She stands out on the pier -
Surrounded by the endless dark water,
Water that begs to pull you under,
And suck away your breath,
Water that mocks you for the very life -
you suck in and out, such a simple thing.
Now the lightning strikes,
And now her heart races,
Something exciting, something teases,
She feels the pinked flush rising,
Warming her body -
Calling it to attention,
The wind whips her clothes -
Back and forth, to and fro,
Mimicking a lovers touch,
Fleeting and light,
Hard and sharp.
The storm grows, growls, moves closer,
She trembles in excitement, biting her lip,
Something so forbidden in this,
Something so erotic,
She stands on the top railing and lifts her arms -
Head thrown back, eyes closed,
This is what it feels like to be alive,
Every blood cell tearing through your veins,
Racing in excitement,
Fire upon her skin, the nerves are hungry.
Now the rain begins to fall,
Slapping her skin with the most delicious sting,
Each a tiny bite, a rush of pleasure,
The thrill threatens to overrun her,
The dark water below swells,
Reaches in greedy waves to touch her,
Her eyes open and surveys this -
Upon this maddening chaos,
She feels dark desire,
Tugging her, drawing her in.
She throws caution to the wind,
Part her lips and cries into the night,
The waves crash against the pier,
The spray caught in the wind,
Her body is drenched in a combination -
Lusty rain and greedy sea water,
For they both want her.
Her hair hangs in ragged wet tresses,
It too clings to her, biased by the rain,
Her clothes plastered to her, hugging her tight,
Her body is shivering -
Missing the stolen warmth,
Her eyes are now stung red,
Her full lips taste of tears and salt.
The dark water reaches up and pulls her down,
She is tossed into the depths,
Gasping for air,
Fighting to stay on the surface,
Her whole body shivers,
The freezing cold bites in -
Like a million tiny pins in her skin,
Sensational -
Her excitement peaks,
She is towed under, rolled in the waves,
Her lungs are burning inside out,
The sea water is pushing in everywhere,
Frantic now, she claws out,
In one final burst of effort -
She breaks the surface with a gasp,
Hungrily pulling in air,
Just as she takes her breath -
She is swallowed by the sea,
Back into the dark abyss,
Her eyes burn, but she still sees her freedom.
The tides change, currents drift -
The wind has been spent into the night,
On the brink of breaking -
She feels his grasp loosen,
The waves gently roll her to the top,
She drifts to merging line,
Of sea and sky, of sky and sea,
Unconsciousness threatens -
As she finally is allowed another breath,
Panting, sated, exhausted -
She floats upon the sea of her desires.
