Debates on whether the relationship she is in has possibilities of lasting, whether the child will not be a financial constraint on them, whether it won't come between the woman's career enhancements, the public's purported opinion on the pregnancy among others are critically analyzed all in the woman's interests with a less efficient audience. Men are so marginalized as regards child birth that when a woman pronounces she is pregnant, they are often lost for words. While a man is driven more by the physical, women are less driven by lust and focus more on stability, settling down and finding a family. But the truth of the matter is that most pregnancies can be avoided. They occur because either one or both people involved have been reckless with their contraception or none of it. To subject a potential baby to death' by abortion or deprive them of the chance to live because of a purported mistake' on the part of the un deserving parents is a selfishness that prevails in the world we live in now; where family values are no longer taken seriously. Contrary to the frequently referred to justifications for abortion like choice' and rights', people's motives are far from noble and border on self-preservation.
