Types of mid-term and late-term abortions explained

TO ABORT OR NOT TO ABORT, THE MAN IS NOT IN QUESTION

Figures from the Department of Health in Britain show a continued rise in the number of abortions in Britain and Wales yearly. Last year 193,737 women had abortions carried out herein. Shockingly, 44 of these were having their eighth abortion. This situation is even becoming worse with teenagers. An unprecedented 18,619 girls under 18 had terminations last year. 1,341 of these were having their second operation and astonishingly one 18 year old had her sixth abortion. These shocking figures are not only reflective of the UK but most developed nations that legalize abortion have similar figures. For most African nations, abortion is ilegalized and criminalized but this does not stop it being carried out; albeit under atrocious circumstances.

However, one of the most predominant feature of abortions is the woman's sole right to choose whether or not to abort. It is justified as their right to control fertility, decide whether and when to have children and an ability to control their lives. At times it is also justified in instances of rape, incest, young age, financial constraints, relationship breakdown and preference for career enhancement. Rarely is it because a man does not think it is the right time to have kids; or in the alternative hardly is it forsaken because the man would rather the woman has the kid.

Often when there is a disagreement on whether or not to abort, a woman resorts to the baby being in her body and her having a right to do with her body what she pleases. The fact that a union between both sexes resulted in to the offspring is lost on the woman. It is understandable that the woman will carry the baby in her body until conception and it is her body that will under go all the transformations associated with pregnancy and the associated pain at birth. Although at this point in time the man's role is limited to sexual intercourse; with out his sperm conception can not occur.

Amazingly, if the woman so chooses to abort and the man is against it, his opinion does not matter. However, if the man would rather the woman aborts and she disregards his sentiment on this; that is not the end of the matter on this. When the baby is born, the man is forced to maintain the kid through a portion of his earnings. Even if he comes around and founds a family with the woman, any fall out will always arm the woman with the ability to inform the child that his/her father wanted him/her to be aborted in order to
