Poetry: Depression

by CanCan

There you are in the mirror again
Looking for hope and even a friend
The blemishes you find that no one else sees
You cry in the dark your heart always bleeds
it doesn't matter if it rains or shines
You just feel the whole world has left you behind
You don't care about things anymore
Your always lonely you feel your a bore

No one understands you they think your a freak
They see your depression as you are just weak
You try to get a handle on your life
deal with the pressures of every day life
you crawl into bed and cover your head
Wishing you would die in your sleep and awake and be dead

Your family ignores you thinking your going through a faze
They don't know the deep emotional craze
You go through each day as you awake
Try to smile and you learn to be fake
Make someone else laugh at your own expense
gets the attention off you does this make sense?
Why don't they see you really need some time
all to yourself is this a crime?
leave me be so I can lay in my own pity
Depression is haunting attacks in any City

A shadow flees through the night
    Swift and stealthy
    A demon
    with glowing red eyes
    She stops
    in front of a bistro
    Moves in,
