In a similar article I sighted the term cruelty as suffrage and torture. We as human do use animals for our own entertainment in many ways whether racing, rodeo, hunting, slaughtering for food, or domesticating an animal for our pleasure and use to name a few. As I also sighted previously domestication is the act of breeding an animal for the pleasure and use of humans. We as the higher power should not torture an animal, and that does bring to mind calf roping. That just doesn't seem right to me, but they are tough, I see them get up and walk off every time. It's nothing I'm going to take a stand about, I just choose not to watch it, I tend to route for the underdog. Take humans wrestling or boxing each other, that looks like it hurts too but that's the wrestlers choice. I know some will say that animals don't have a choice in the matter, we do what we want. So therefore we have to maintain our boundaries as a civilized world.
Certainly we are not in Rome anymore whereby the ruler would pit a human against a lion for entertainment. I trust that society and majority rules on how far we go with animals, we will continue to push the envelope and force boundaries.
