Perhaps Helium knew my mind better than me... I was going to say No, but having searched on and gotten a YES article, it put me down as a yes - OK fairy nuff - who am I to argue!

As it is, I agree with the statement, but would have removed conservatives - this sort of thing is a doctrine to muzzle everybody.

...and just what is wrong with you Americans who are not conservatives - you make these good people sound like the most awful kind of person that the dog wouldn't drag home for their own dinner. The word "Conservatives" is uttered with the same disgust as perverts, and likely Conservatives are equally disgusted with efforts to muzzle debate by liberals who see it as an easy way to bypass any discussion, both inside and outside their party.

I don't have anything personal against liberals, except maybe they are too atheist by nature, and don't they love to delve into social engineering. Their $Billion welfare programs that create more drug addicts than they educate - their efforts to turn so many able bodied people into welfare Dependants.

Sure, You can understand why the Liberals would want to pull this card, and divert attention away from the real issues.

"Fairness" is another angle to the political correctness war-chest.

It should be clearly understood, that this is an underhand instrument of politics that makes people wrong who do not follow a certain doctrine.
That doctrine can change of course, so beware, but do not underestimate the power these PC-addicts wield, and it is power these people are after. Power to control - power to police confusing rules that were made to be contradictory against common sense.

It is the followers of PC indoctrination that are the worst - they can't think for themselves, and so follow the rules - they do get into some darn awful messes sometimes.... because they do not understand what they are doing, but having worked their way up the officialdom ladder, they sure as heck are going to take no stick from Joe public.

So, YES, I will spell it out - The so called "Fairness Doctrine" is used as a muzzle to silence conservatives, and others that want honest and open debate.
