The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the headlines " Scooters as an urban and environmental alternative to cars" was my African life style.
I was born in a remote area of one of the villag es in Cameroon.
Before we could go to the city, we had to walk for 4-5 hours or we wait for 48 hour to get a Land Rover.
I have now been to the west and the westerner are now trying our alternative. I live presently in Australia and Australian are advised to park and walk.
What an irony. While Africans are working hard to own a car, Europeans are working hard not to own a car.Europeans have weekly schedules to meet their doctors.
While there is the struggle in European and industrial countries to limit the emission of CO2 in to the atmosphere, most African countries don't even know of Global warming.
It comes clear to mind mind that the world is revolving in favor to natural living.
When I talk of natural living, I mean and environment based on the natural laws not the scientific destabilization of this world.
I never watched a TV until I was about 18 years old. My own TV was to sit at the banks of the river, watching at the fishes swim and listing to the lovely tune of the multi cultural and non-racist birds and animals. In the hot summers it was very refreshing giving the fact that there was no sort of pollution unlike in the west where there is not only CO2 pollution but sound pollution, chemical pollution just to name a few.
May be we can learn a lesson and develop toward living a natural life.
using Scooters as an urban and environmental alternative to cars will be a good start and as we grow in mind, we will slowly come to the right way of protecting our environment.
