Some say you can tell what a coffee will taste like simply by testing its aroma. I for one, wouldn't want to be caught sniffing around the coffees in a market. To tell you the truth, you may not be able to tell how qualitative a coffee is or even what it will taste like, by testing its bouquet.
The best way is to know your coffees: European, American, French and Viennese. The name refers to how heavily the beans are roasted. Looking for coffee with a kick? Try a heavier European blend, you won't be disapponted. American? That's like a bread-and-butter coffee, it's an easy medium. Feeling a little bit adventurous? Pick up the French Roast: it's just what the doctor ordered.
Some like it mild and smooth, some like it bold with a little kick. Finding the right coffee for your unique personality may best be suited to a team of researchers. Luckily, you have the facts.
