So many new affiliates start out thinking they just have a selection of affiliate promotional tools and a free affiliate web page and that's the end of the promoting by adding a few banners here and there and hey presto lets cash in the money....

Of course it's not as simple as you are led to believe by the misleading sales copy you just read on the professional internet marketers web page, there's more to affiliate marketing promotion and the first thing you should be thinking about is search engine optimization for all of your affiliate campaigns.

And yes say thanks for that free web page but you need to be building a site of your very own, one that's going to be built up from scratch, a site that will eventually have it's own products one day and maybe even an affiliate program, there's nothing wrong with thinking long term.(it's an affiliate business after all)

First you need to have the correct meta tags, title tags and header tags for your own site and that means targeted keywords for your chosen niche, so use a couple of your best keywords scattered through out your websites content is usually best.

Create quality and helpful information that will be linked to without you doing a thing except writing your article of course.

Try to keep on track of your link building strategies and also try and link to relevant sites that match your sites keywords, and also inbound links with anchor text within your site also help, as does linking to higher page ranking websites.

Affiliate marketing is an easy way to make money on the Internet when you follow the advice of someone who is doing it, and the secret to getting good search engine placements is consistency in all of your strategies.
