Walking and checking out the environment where you live, if you checkout the environment, you may notice many aspects of your community you never knew before. Around Tea Tree Gully you are very lucky because in the article, I am about to describe there is a lot too see and do if people respect and care about environment where they live.

As a point of interest Tea Tree Gully, is a small township that established in 1846, a mining and farming community. There are many original cottages, also the original Council Chambers, meeting halls; the Highercombe Hotel with an original Post Office within the building. A Scottish migrant that came to South Australia called "Robert Milne" relics of his life and the original home that he built for his daughter still stands in what is now a park that is situated across the road from our home. In this day the home is now part of a funeral parlor property.

Tea Tree Plaza shopping center is the main hub, of the North Eastern District of Adelaide, South Australia. The many walking trails start from here and lead into the city of Adelaide, or in the other direction trails that lead up into the Adelaide foothills. The main walking trail from Tea Tree Plaza follows the O'Bahn Busway alongside the River Torrens to the city Adelaide. A green oasis meanders through picnic sights, playgrounds, and Barbecue's areas, on sunny days you can see many families walking and picnicking along the river, sometimes people even drop a fishing line in the river in the hope of catching an odd fish. There is no need of a permit here yet. After the 12-kilometer trip walking into the city many decide to walk back home or catch the bus from the city to Tea Tree Plaza.

Many locals walk along the numerous trails that lead to Tea Tree Plaza, or Civic Park, which is just across the road from the shopping center. St Agnes a suburb within the boundaries of the City of Tea tree Gully Council in the North East, just at the bottom of the Adelaide hills has the added attraction of recreational parks with native wildlife and fauna. Many of these creeks lead to Tea Tree Plaza or Civic Park with the magic sound of Australian birds and wildflowers that add color to your walk. You can appreciate what the council is doing to improve the environment for the future.

Adding to your tour you can spend another day leaving from the Civic Park following the trail that starts from the back of Tea Tree Gully Council Chambers. Different trails lead past old farming lands
