Snapdragons are great little plants they come in a range of colors. And are loved by adults and children alike. Growing them is very easy. You can transplant them or grow them from seed, but from seed can be a challenge. When starting from seed keep the seed flats in a warm location until they sprout. As soon as they sprout place them in the light. Seedlings will be ready to transplant in about four weeks.
Transplant buy digging a hole larger then the pot they are in. Cover the roots with dirt and water. You can add fertilizer if you want but I would recommend adding mulch around the base of the plant to help keep the roots cool. This will encourage longer lasting blooms. Snapdragons like full sun to part shade. They also like cooler temperatures. So plant them just after the last frost and they will bloom until summer sets in.
Once the first hard frost hits the snapdragons will turn brown but if you are in area where there is little to no frost the snapdragons can be grown as a perennial.
Snapdragons are enjoyed by everyone and are a great addition any garden.
