Living a good life means learning from life around you.
A checklist could be something like this...
Can you-
-Keep calm when others fall into chaos? Can you understand it if you are blamed for things beyond your control?
-Trust the choices you make when no one else does? Can you find that faith within yourself? Believe, though there are no certainties?
-Find patience when waiting is harder than hard? Understand that everyone around you feels the same way?
-Put someone else in front of you, even when you'd rather not?
-Know you are being lied to and about without sinking to lie yourself? Look the liar in the eye with self control and try to examine the reasons on why they did what they did?
-Know you are disliked without acting out to hurt feeling in return? Hold your tongue when others refuse to do the same?
-Feel anger without giving into the strength of hate? And rise above the tempting glow?
-Listen and speak clearly without putting on airs, without being condescending when you're certain of the answers when someone else is wrong?
-Understanding that no one is perfect, that no one deserves to be ridiculed?
Are you able to...
-Think situations through without jumping to conclusions?
-Dream and daydream in bright and beautiful color without making the dreams your life? To go passed the illusion and put your reality in action by hard work and determination?
-Handle any situation, good or bad, and treat those apart of it with the same amount of dignity? Even when you are particularly full of yourself?
-Face facts, good or bad, with maturity and grace-reguardless that the emotional cost is high?
-Stand strong when the odds are against you or stand tall when those around you fall?
-Be wise to those who would take advantage of your nature? Know that any "Get-Rich-fast!" schemes are just that- a scheme.
-Can you rise above taking advantage of another person because it is the wrong thing to do, no matter how easy it be?
-See things as just things? Items that break and bend wear out and get destroyed?
-That no physical item is as precious or as dear as living, breathing things?
-Look beyond the hard times that come where belongings are destroyed, that cars break, that accidents happen and not feel put upon or mistreated?
-Can you keep your wits and words calm? Are you willing to give a helping hand to others before looking for a hand out for yourself?
Can you...
-Handle loss with understanding? Lean toward laughter when all things that could go wrong, do?
-Lose your money, your house, your
