The orange glow of the setting summer sun warms the sky as sea birds fly gracefully in the distance. You and your beloved hold hands as you casually stroll along the shore, the ocean gently lapping at your toes. A slight summer breeze fills the air with the sweet smell of the native bushes lining the foreshore and as you gently embrace your beloved's waist you happen to stumble upon a throw rug, an iced bucket with champagne and two flutes. You invite your beloved to sit as they stand and ponder what is going on. This is the perfect scene to a romantic night filled with surprises and ending in asking that one question that has been burning inside. "Will you?"

This type of proposal takes planning, assistance from a friend or relative (to shoo away unwanted guests, both feather and two-legged) and some smarts. That is the secret to the perfect wedding proposal. A dinner may be your sort of place to ask; however, beware of the ring in the glass of champagne or a dessert, you'll dread asking your beloved to marry you in the Emergency Room whilst waiting for the x-rays to developed.

Love, marriage and wedding proposals are very personal and individual to you and your beloved. You both may be experienced skydivers and proposing whist plummeting towards the earth may be just the way to woe your beloved off their feet, literately. Whilst tilting toward the terrain ignite flares from your feet and shoot off with a red cape flowing from your shoulders as you save your plunging Lois Lane.

Sailing might be your fancy and without much notice the Captain of the ship always saves her lady from the boarding Pirates.

Of course there is no reason why Lois can't save Superman or the damsel in distress can't save the Captain, anything goes.

A proposal of marriage is a question that remains answered for life. It is a question that takes great planning, insight and knowledge of your partner's likes and dislikes. There is one situation where a proposal of marriage should never take place, without the graphic detail, needless to say marriage should never be proposed in the heat of a passionate moment during love making.

Your special place for your wedding proposal needs to be special to both you and your beloved and it can also be inspirational, different to what you would normally do and amazing. Most of all, do it for love.
