You are also wishing to find and experience, the best skiing venues. No doubt many of you also wish to find ski resorts which cater to families.

Northern California offers some superb ski resorts for the traveler seeking nothing but the best. I will endeavor to show to you, exactly what is available at each one. Here you will learn exactly what makes each one unique. Having visited many ski resorts around the globe over the last two decades, and experienced first hand the best,as well as the worse,I shall attempt to steer you to the very best.

Alpine Meadows was a wonderful find, deemed as Lake Tahoe's best kept secret by many, and seen as one of the most beautiful resorts in Northern California. A little less known than the neighboring, highly popular, "Squaw Valley Ski Resort" but it certainly is much less expensive, but by no means does it lack in any manner. Comparable in terrains and world class facilities, this resort offers a great price for accommodation.

The resort can be found a mere six miles outside Tahoe City, this is within the Tahoe National Forest located on the North Shore. This is amid such a beautiful scenic setting, incorporating numerous parks, and pipes for advanced snow boarders and skiers. The park actually is more focused on the advanced skiers who flock to this mountain in abundance. Yet there is a Kid's Terrain Park which caters to their needs, thus fostering the child's joy of snow, skiing and tobogganing. Other features offered are the Superpipe and Terrain Park.

Alpine Meadows also offers you a full service restaurant as well as a food court which is situated on the mountain. Thus, here you can partake of convenient appetizing meals or snacks. Both sides of the mountain offer skiing for all, so either the beginner or the advanced are completely catered for.
Rates are based on standard rooms
Standard room:
Single $123 night
Double $153 night
Twin $123 night
Rates are inclusive of all taxes.

The resort is 200 miles easterly of San Francisco,120
