so that he can enter "Hollywood Land" and retrieve his script. Using the audience members as his cast and crew we create a film using a green screen and a few other special effects. It was fun, but it lasted 30 minutes. I did not need that long to let my food settle, I could have been riding roller coasters. It was still entertaining none-the-less.
After we left the theater we made our way to the back of the park for the final ride, The Boss. The Boss is a huge wooden roller coaster. This coaster is almost comparable to the Texas Giant, American's Number One Roller Coaster, but there is a reason why the Texas Giant claims such a title, but this one does make a close second or third with it's double down drops and 570 degree helix. This was probably my second or third favorite roller coaster in the park, and it is my second favorite wooden roller coaster with the Texas Giant claiming number one.
It is now about 3:00 in the afternoon, and we are getting pretty tired because we have been there since 9:00 that morning. I promised my wife that we would go shopping at the local outlet mall in St. Louis, so we decided to exit the park. Upon exiting there was a drum line outside of the Mr. Freeze ride and I wanted to watch them, being that I am a drummer, but we needed to get going. We found the exit, used the bathroom, and got our hand stamped on the left hand just in case we had the desire to go back to the park later on that night, which we did not.
This Six Flags Theme Park in St. Louis, Missouri is a very nice park. the grounds are kept clean and there is a plethora of things to do here. I can remember the Six Flags Astroworld in Houston, TX was not as clean as these other parks in Texas, and I remember the gum stuck to a lot of the walls at this park. I especially remember the Dungeon Drop, which is now Superman: Tower of Power in St Louis. When you enter the archway to the castle it is lined with gum. I would compare the beauty of this park to the Six Flags over Texas in Dallas / Fort Worth, or the Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, TX, which are two very clean parks. All in all Six Flags is worth the entry fee if you can find the coupons around town, but is not worth eating for lunch. The coaster are great and memorable and I look forward to the expansion of this park. Being that St. Louis is only five hours away from Tulsa, OK, I would definitely make the drive out there again!
