What is Spam?
Have you ever encounter numerous mails starts flooding your mail box that advertise things that you do not actually needs like vigra, sliming pills or even penis enlargement? Well, these are spam mails. They are sent to you on the premise that you will somehow or rather be convinced into buying these products. They are generally not scams whilst I am not saving that spam mails does not contain scamming or fraudulent nature, there are some phishing and mails that impersonating staffs from reputable entities which made you believe and do as they say. Spam has been a problem since the widely utilization of electronic mails and it is still a pollution despite there are many technological techniques that has been trying to stop spam like spam filters which did not made much of a progress. It is because if the spam filter works strictly, it may sometimes even block the mail, which you would want to receive.

Why do they spam?
Well, every act has its motivating factor; the cause for such act of distributing spam mails is monetary return. I am sure most of us would probably delete the mail away and move on with our life, but why are they reports of people being victim of scams or buying something that does not do as it claims to do. I am sure every one of us have to realize the importance of "caveat emptor", that is buyers beware. While, having the intention to cheat and scam is considered as illegitimate, the onus is still on the consumer to take necessary precaution and subsequently decide whether to buy or not.

When does you know a mail is a spam?
There is no formula to determine whether an advertising mail is a scam, but you would probably discern whether or not it is a spam. Emails being sent to you are primarily people whom you have given the address to or due to some signing up agreement. If an unfamiliar entity sends anything to you, whom you are very sure that you have not sign up with, it is probably a spam mail. Consequently, you may want to keep tabs on the web site which you have sign up to counter check. On the note of personal experience, I have received some mails, which contain massive wording, in some instances, trying to get your assistance, but in exchange letting inherit millions of dollars. Well, it sounds too good to be true, and I believed it probably is.
