Apologies are a necessary part of life. They may not be perfect, but they are necessary. None of us would be in any kind of relationship if we never apologized for anything. Let's face it, we all make mistakes. An apology is the way that we admit that we are wrong to make peace with others as well as ourselves. It is not just simply about the words that are spoken, it is about the heart and intent behind it.
When we are able to say "I'm sorry," it shows that we are able to let down our pride and admit the wrong that has been done. It also means that we are more likely to forgive others when they make mistakes. This is because we know what it feels like to be at someone else's mercy.
When a person apologizes, it allows the other person(s) a chance to deal with their feelings and move on. That is only way that a relationship can be reconciled.
